Recommended blog - Geeklawyer

To some, the blogosphere is about independent voices and if you want a law blog which cuts against the grain and is independent, you have Geeklawyer.

The introduction to Geeklawyer's weblog sets the tone: "Bar talk: lawyers on intellectual property, civil liberties and the legal system. Plus some angry liberal ranting."

Within the blog, you do get some angry (and humorous) ranting, and there is also evidence of a sharp mind and some helpful comment.

Recently, Geeklawyer did an interesting post about how the Australian government planned to reform the copyright laws.

Furthermore, I liked this short (but commendable) post explaining why Geeklawyer is anonymous. Here, Geeklawyer referred to a New York Daily News article about how we are all obtaining an online profile.

On his non-blog site, he has written a useful article on defamation. As a result of ease of publication, defamation is a crucial legal issue of our times.
